Having lately met with an abstract of genius truly original,
I send it you, to grace your entertaining paper, with some
observations thereon, written by a facetious gentleman, some
years since deceased.

mortal man.
I.

If we intend our souls to save:
Come listen to what I will you tell,
What a sad stroke our friend befel.
